It’s expected to be a busy few days for Leeds United and Daniel Farke as they look to complete last-minute business between now and the summer transfer deadline.
The Whites are still on the lookout for more additions, but time to make signings is quickly ebbing away. The club have brought 10 new players to the club so far this season.
The window officially closes at 7pm on Monday, 1 September, with a last-minute scramble expected from clubs as usual.
But it’s not just transfers that Leeds have to prepare for. The team are back in Premier League action tomorrow (Saturday) as they take on Newcastle United at Elland Road (5.30pm kick-off).
Ahead of the game, we’ve taken a look at some of the latest stories doing the rounds at Leeds and also given our own thoughts on the situation.
Buonanotte latest
An update has been given on Leeds United’s interest in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Facundo Buonanotte. SussexWorld report that the Argentine was due to fly to Leeds from London yesterday, but the flight was cancelled at the last moment; the reason for the cancellation is not outlined.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has said that he expects Buonanotte to leave on loan again this summer. "We have a very transparent exchange with him,” he said.
"It's so important that they have game minutes where they can improve. So we have to think about if the right club is here, or we might give him a loan where he gets more game minutes.
"I can say we're very happy that he's a Brighton player, and no matter where he will be in the next season, long-term we will see him here as a player for us because he's a great player and he's a great character and for sure long-term he will help us."
LeedsLive says: Bounanotte spent last season on loan with Leicester City, where he caught the eye with his performances in the early part of the season. A change of manager did see him fall behind another Leeds target, Bilal El Khannouss, in the pecking order later in the campaign.
The midfielder can be a match winner, though, and a loan deal would be a good move for Leeds, especially if they manage to fight off competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund.

Leeds United
Solomon interest
Former Leeds United loanee Manor Solomon has been linked with another temporary move back to the Championship before the deadline.
Journalist Callum Cheswick claims that Sheffield United are pushing to sign the Tottenham winger on loan, while speaking on the Last Word on Spurs podcast, journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that Leicester City are also showing an interest in the 26-year-old.
LeedsLive says: With Spurs reportedly closing in on a move for Xavi Simons, it could open the door to a loan exit for Solomon. If Leeds did reignite their interest, then they would hope that their Premier League status could give them a big advantage over the two teams mentioned.
However, the decision would ultimately come down to Spurs, with the club maybe preferring to not send him to another Premier League club.
