Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior has been waiting to receive authorisation from the north London club to complete a move to FC Porto.
On Thursday, we covered claims from Portugal that the Gunners want to replacement first before letting the defender leave. This is why he didn’t board the private jet that has been booked for him over the last two days.
Earlier today, A Bola reported a private jet had been booked for this morning to take the 25-year-old to Portugal. The Dragons felt he may not travel as Arsenal could retain him until Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.
A fresh report from A Bola indicates the Poland international could finally board the private jet that’s been waiting for him for the past few days.
That’s because Porto president André Villas-Boas has ‘reached an understanding’ with the Premier League club. The ‘deal is closed’ to take the Poland international from Arsenal to Porto on loan with a mandatory purchase option. The overall fee could rise to €26m.
This includes €2m loan fee and the purchase obligation of €17m, with potential bonuses of €5m. The newspaper reports Porto will pay €2m to Arsenal if Kiwior is sold in the future.
There’s no mention when the centre-back will travel, but it could be soon considering a private jet has been booked for him for the past three days.
