Newcastle United star Lewis Hall has just missed out on the England squad due to a lack of match fitness ahead of the two World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.
However, Newcastle will be well represented in the squad with Anthony Gordon, Blyth lad Dan Burn and former Chelsea full-back Tino Livramento all involved.
There was also some pride for the club's Academy after Elliot Anderson won his first England call-up just 12 months after being sold to Nottingham Forest for £35m.
Hall has returned from a foot injury but is just behind on minutes after returning in pre-season but he remains a huge part of Thomas Tuchel's plans with the door wide open to the full-back ahead of next summer's World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.
