The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles made it to Super Bowl LIX last season, with the Eagles coming out on top, 40-22. Naturally, this 2025 campaign, the two are considered the teams to beat in their respective conferences.
Of course there are also high expectations that the Eagles and Chiefs will contend for the Super Bowl title once again. Kansas City still has Patrick Mahomes leading the way, while Philly boasts the elite offensive duo of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley.
Interestingly, ESPN’s Football Power Index didn’t have the Eagles or Chiefs as the team with the best chance to win Super Bowl LX. Instead, the Baltimore Ravens came out on top.

According to the ESPN computer, the Ravens have an 11.5% chance to win the Super Bowl, ahead of the Eagles (10.9%) and the Chiefs (9.8%).
The Ravens also have the best odds to at least make it to the playoffs with 80.4%, followed by the Buffalo Bills (79%), Eagles (76%) and Chiefs (75.1%).
It’s worth noting that Baltimore didn’t even make the conference championship last season, falling to the Bills in the divisional round.
However, there’s reason to believe that the Ravens will be much better this 2025. They have one of the best QB-RB-Pass catcher trifecta in Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers, who is widely expected to make a third-year leap.
The offseason additions of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and cornerback Jaire Alexander are also set to give the Baltimore offense and defense a boost.
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens Have Something to Prove
While the Ravens are looking great on paper once again, the challenge for them is really overcoming the same issue that has hounded them the past: getting it done in the playoffs.
Baltimore has made the playoffs four times over the last five seasons. However, they weren’t able to reach the Super Bowl during that span, reaching the conference championship just once.
The Ravens lost to the Bills twice in the postseason and once to the Chiefs. For them to win the Super Bowl, they will have to show that they can beat the two teams when it matters the most.
Jackson and company face the Bills to start the season, while they play the Chiefs later in September, in Week 4. Those games should be good tests for Ravens to see if they are ready to compete for the title.
