How Tomas Soucek feels about a late window move to Everton after new development - journalist

Everton are still wanting two more players this window, and Tomas Soucek is still on David Moyes’ radar.

After a summer full of twists and turns, deadline day is looming for Everton, and Moyes’ side are still firmly in the thick of things.

Moyes has admitted more signings could arrive, and with the Scotsman continually making it clear he’s not satisfied with the squad, this is a very real possibility.

There is a chance that Soucek reunites with the Toffees boss after their time at West Ham.

However, Everton had a bid rejected for Soucek, but the Czech Republic international has now made his wish very clear, with the Toffees on the move.

Tomas Soucek open to Everton move with improved offer in the works

Although the Irons have suggested that the midfielder is not for sale, the 30-year-old might have other plans.

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Soucek is open to a move to Merseyside with the Blues now planning an ‘improved offer’ after their first bid was rejected.

Graham Potter is open to Soucek’s sale as Moyes would certainly take a reunion at the Toffees, especially after their major success a few years back in East London.

This has been a deal mooted to happen all summer, and now it appears that a transfer could firmly be in motion.

Tomas Soucek would improve Everton’s set-piece threat

Obviously, the connection between Moyes and Soucek is a strong one after their brilliance together played its part in bringing West Ham their first-ever European trophy.

But what Everton are lacking right now is a major set-piece threat, as since Sean Dyche left, their chances from these areas have seemed limited, but this is what the Czech star does best.

His six-foot-four presence in the box could see him get on the end of Jack Grealish, Tyler Dibling, or Kiernan Dewsbury Hall’s crosses.

Moyes clearly wants a beacon in the middle of the box to have another way of scoring, and he knows there is nowhere better to look than the Hammers giant.

The Toffees have a history in incorporating these types of players, as Moyes could have his next ‘Marouane Fellaini’ with Soucek, as it’s now looking like a deal with legs.
