Just in: David Ornstein says Arsenal in talks to sell £200,000-a-week star after Kiwior

Arsenal could see two defenders leave their playing squad in the remaining hours of the transfer window, according to reports - with Oleksandr Zinchenko potentially following Jakub Kiwior out of the Emirates exit, amid interest from French giants Marseille.

Kiwior is set to depart for Europa League side Porto in the coming days, which has opened the door for a move for Bayer Leverkusen and Ecuador star Piero Hincapie, with the Gunners close to finalising a deal for his services in the coming hours. However, with Hincapie being left-sided, that has forced Zinchenko even further down the pecking order - and a solution over his future needs to be found.

Ornstein: Marseille 'Working' on Deal to Sign Zinchenko from Arsenal

The report by The Athletic journalist David Ornstein states that Marseille are working on a deal to sign Zinchenko from Arsenal in the coming days of the transfer window.

The Ligue 1 side are exploring a permanent move for the versatile defender, but any immediate move is complicated, due to his salary at the Emirates Stadium. That is described as a 'significant issue', and a solution is needed for the deal to advance.

However, talks are ongoing, with the Ukraine international having lost his place in the left-back running in north London, despite being on £200,000-a-week.

Arsenal signed Zinchenko from Manchester City three years ago as a direct upgrade on Kieran Tierney, and he became a dependable member of their first-team in his first two seasons at the club. However, he only featured in 15 league games in the previous campaign, with just five of those games being starts - registering one assist in the process against relegated side Ipswich Town.
