Arsenal reached the Champions League semi-finals last season, where they narrowly lost to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners also impressed in domestic competitions, advancing to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and finishing as Premier League runners-up.
Their strong performances, particularly in the Champions League, have earned them a high position in Goal’s latest Champions League Power Rankings.
Arsenal have been ranked third, solidifying their status as one of the leading contenders for this season’s prestigious European title.

According to Goal, the Gunners’ consistency and progress under manager Mikel Arteta including last season’s deep run to the semi-finals, justify their place among the favourites.
The rankings place PSG at the top, followed closely by Barcelona, with Arsenal in third. Liverpool and Real Madrid round out the top five.
Under Arteta’s guidance, Arsenal have evolved into a tactically disciplined and technically proficient side.
The squad, strengthened by the additions of Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres, now boasts a balance of experience, youth, and versatility that has raised expectations heading into the European campaign.
The Champions League format has also undergone changes this season, with teams from the same seeding pot no longer guaranteed to avoid each other.

Arsenal, despite their lofty power ranking, are in Pot Two due to UEFA’s points-based allocation system, which considers performance over multiple seasons.
While fans are optimistic about the team’s prospects, some have voiced confusion over the draw system.
One supporter noted that being ranked third in the power rankings “doesn’t necessarily translate to an advantage in the draw.”
With momentum from last season and an upgraded squad, Arsenal will look to build on their progress as they aim for European glory.
