Tottenham's campaign has started off in the best possible way. Two excellent wins over Burnley and Manchester City has brought a new lease of life to those in Lilywhite and the expectation will be for this run to continue against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Yet, off the field, frustrations have brewed. The club have struggled so far, repeatedly missing out on key targets like Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White.
However, amid the scramble, Xavi Simons has reportedly agreed a move to North London from RB Leipzig. This is a significant coup and will add more experience and talent to a squad that has little depth.
Despite the tumultuous nature of the off-field affairs, Spurs will be striving to make it three out of three and another clean sheet as the Cherries visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
More of the same from Frank
It would make sense to see Thomas Frank keep his lineup unchanged from last weekend's win over Manchester City.
Tottenham's midfield shaped the match and successfully shut down any sign of a City attack.
Furthermore, Frank's new system of pressing whilst out of possession has caused their opponents all sorts of trouble, exemplified by Joao Palhinha's second goal last time out.
Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr pushed aggressively to close passing channels, whilst Mohammed Kudus and Brennan Johnson worked tirelessly to pin City's full-backs and funnel play inwards.
Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven held a high line to compress the pitch with Djed Spence and Pedro Porro often left as the only two in the backline.
If Spurs can replicate this against Bournemouth, it could be a very one-sided game.
The threat of Semenyo
Antoine Semenyo is arguably Bournemouth's biggest threat and shutting him down will be Tottenham's key focus.
The Ghanaian international almost single-handedly dragged Bournemouth back into their match against Liverpool on the opening day.
With Semenyo, Bournemouth always pose a threat going forwards.
If they remain calm under the inevitable press from Tottenham, Semenyo could find himself away on a break and bearing down on goal.
Bournemouth have not lost to Tottenham since 2023 and Semenyo might be the one to continue this record.
Richarlison becoming more important than ever
It has been a difficult time for Richarlison so far at Tottenham.
He has not lived up to his £50 million price tag since his move from Everton in 2022 but is now beginning to find his feet.
There is no doubt that Richarlison is a talented footballer. After a spell of injuries over the last couple of years, Thomas Frank has boldly named him as his first choice striker.
Two goals and an assist in his first two appearances this season show his importance to this Spurs side.
His relationship with Kudus and Johnson has been central to Spurs' quick front three and his press upon City set the tone for the rest of the team.
With goals already taken care of and new bite added to his game, Richarlison is finally starting to look like the player Spurs signed for.
Not just a hard-grinding striker but an actual focal point who can power their attack through a long season.
