Pointing at the has followed the 6’3’’ 230-pound sophomore since his first year. Remember, Kelce spent his college days at Cincinnati, but his highlight was about the ongoing narrative around Raiola’s emulation of Mahomes.

Raiola, entering his second season, carried the weight of high expectations after he led his team to a 7-6 record and a bowl win in 2024, as he threw for 2,819 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Brendan Sorsby, Cincinnati quarterback, also kept a close record, as he passed for 215 yards and a touchdown, but Cornhuskers’ defense side stepped up in the game, with cornerback Malcolm Hartzog Jr. snagging the game by clinching pick in the end zone with just 34 seconds to end the game.

The footage captured Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spending some moments with Raiola before the game began, of which he reportedly later told reporters he was impressed by the young quarterback’s attitude.

Meanwhile, in one of his recent interviews with CBS, he opposed being tagged as a copycat; ”Everybody be like, ‘Oh, he wants to be like him,’ and all this stuff,” he said. “It just so happens he played baseball, I played baseball. He plays quarterback, I play quarterback … I can’t get mad at God for making me look like him….Every time a little kid around here is like, ‘Yo, mini-Mahomes!’ I’m like, ‘What’d you say? What’s my name?'” Raiola said.

His contribution against Cincinnati is a clear indication, that he is ready to further placed the Cornhuskers up the table in the competitive Big Ten, in a way positioning his team as a dark horse in expanded playoff.
