Largie Ramazani aims thinly-veiled dig at Leeds United manager Daniel Farke after completing Valencia move

Largie Ramazani has completed a loan move to La Liga side Valencia CF to link up with Carlos Corberan following Daniel Farke dropping the Leeds United winger.

Daniel Farke has outlined his reasons to Largie Ramazani already, and the Leeds United winger is returning to La Liga after spending a couple of seasons there with UD Almeria — but this time to join with Carlos Corberan.

The former Leeds coach has been in charge of Valencia since December and is pictured with Ramazani above. Leeds wanted a recall clause with Valencia, and it was also reported that Leeds were pushing for a Ramazani loan fee to be added into the deal.

Even if they didn’t get their way with everything, Valencia agreed to no permanent clause for Ramazani. It means that the 24-year-old Belgian should return to Leeds next summer, one way or another.

Ramazani looked electric in pre-season but a loan could still mean he has a Leeds future after impressing in limited Championship minutes last season.

Just last summer, Leeds signed Ramazani for £10 million from Almeria. The deal also included a 15% sell-on clause to the recently-relegated side.

Earlier in the campaign, Farke discussed game time privately with Ramazani regarding his situation in the pecking order. He has been handed just two starts in Leeds’ 27 competitive fixtures in 2025 so far.

Ramazani has already spoken about his Leeds exit but further comments have since emerged. Seemingly, they are a thinly-veiled dig at Farke for his lack of action.

When discussing Corberan to Valencia’s official website, he said: “Talking to the coach has given me a lot of confidence, and I’m happy.

“I like having someone who shows confidence in me. I think it’s very important for a player that your coach does that for you, and with that you can take a step forward.”

Speaking to AS, Corberan detailed his thoughts on Ramazani. He said: “When the club approached me about this player, what I knew about him was that he’s versatile and fast.

“And that, in addition to receiving with his feet, his speed allows him to stretch the team and get behind the opponent. The club has done a good job finding talents to make the squad more competitive.”

Ramazani had plenty of competition for places in the pecking order out wide last season, which has continued heading into the current campaign following the arrival of Noah Okafor and with Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson also wide options.

Willy Gnonto has started the 2025/26 season well, in spite of the team’s disappointment against Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday. The Italian can operate on both flanks, which was not helpful to Ramazani trying to force his way in.

With that said, the pair evidently had a special bond on and off the pitch, which has been made more apparent following Gnonto’s Instagram post regarding Ramazani’s departure to Valencia.

Via his Instagram story, Gnonto captioned a picture of him and Ramazani with: “Your time!:crossed_fingers::skin-tone-6:“
