The Dallas sporting scene has now seen two absolutely brutal trades that sent away major fan favorites. Last NBA season, Luka Doncic’s trade to the LA Lakers went down as one of the most controversial and confusing trades for the fans and the NBA world as a whole.
This time, it is the Dallas Cowboys who culminated the lengthy negotiations with star defensive lineman Micah Parsons by trading him away to the Green Bay Packers.
Draymond Green, who has been critical of Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones in the past, also talked about the blockbuster trade between the two legacy franchises.

He alleged that the Cowboys' billionaire owner is one of those owners who do not actually want to win, even if that’s all they admit to publicly.
This trade was a massive move in the NFL world as Parsons has developed quite a following and media business while being in the spotlight with the Dallas Cowboys. Many different personalities from the basketball world responded to this trade.

The Luka Doncic trade shocked the NBA world, but the Parsons trade people saw coming. But just because people saw it coming does not mean that it makes sense for the Cowboys to move off one of the best defensive players in the league.
NBA fans quickly started drawing comparisons between the two blockbuster trades coming out of Dallas.
“They went band for band on who can make the worst trade,”said the caption on Overtime’s social media account that posted a picture of Jerry Jones and Mavericks GM Nico Harrison.
“Jerry has been doing it for decades, Nico can't top that,” a fan commented.

“I honestly don’t feel like the Mavericks trade was bad. In due time, it’ll make sense, but Jerry? He’s a terrible owner.”
Both trades have been highly scrutinized and ended up dividing the fans over their sensibilities. Some believe that Parsons was causing more trouble off the court than it was worth, and Doncic was not taking his health seriously.
While others believe that trading away a generational player like Doncic makes little to no sense, Parsons was only demanding what he felt the defensive players’ market would reach in the upcoming years. Only time will tell which side turns out to be right.
