Fulham will make the extremely short trip across West London on Saturday to face rivals, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Both sides have experienced respectable starts to their seasons and will be looking for it to continue in this match.
The Cottagers come off the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United, in which they fought back from behind to grab an impressive point at Craven Cottage. They currently sit on two points from two games, as this game continues a streak of difficult opening fixtures for Fulham.
Meanwhile, Chelsea sit on 4 points following their emphatic 5-1 victory over West Ham United in gameweek 2. The Blues are a serious attacking power, but it has already been proved that they can be held, as Crystal Palace did it on gameweek one.
Chelsea's last defeat at home did, in fact, come at the hands of Fulham on Boxing Day, where Rodrigo Muniz won it in injury time.
In fact, both matches between the pair were decided in injury time last season, as Pedro Neto struck late to win it at Craven Cottage. Fulham have never won two consecutive games at Stamford Bridge - they will look to change that this weekend.
Team News:
Fulham may well have a completely empty injury list going into their match with the Blues. There is only a minor injury concern for Harry Wilson, who departed the pitch early against Bristol City midweek.
Marco Silva is expected to field a similar lineup to the team that started against Manchester United.
Cole Palmer is expected to be out of contention for the Fulham clash after a groin issue flared up in the warm-up prior to the West Ham match last week. Estêvão is expected to start in his absence once more.
After it worked efficiently against the Hammers, it looks likely that both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap will be working the frontline together - the duo seemed to complement each other well last week.
Apart from the Palmer concern, it looks like the only injuries for the Blues at the moment are those of Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, and Romeo Lavia.
Predicted Lineups:
Fulham:
Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Iwobi, King, Smith Rowe; Muniz
Chelsea:
Sanchez, James, Tosin, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Estêvão, Pedro, Neto; Delap
Key Players:
Fulham - Joachim Andersen
If Fulham want to keep an attacking force as strong as Chelsea's at bay, then Joachim Andersen will have to be at his very best at Stamford Bridge.
The Dane has been a commanding figure in the Fulham backline so far this season, winning approximately 70% of all his duels - something he will be looking to continue.
Chelsea have already shown this season how they can expose teams who are weak defensively; this is unlikely to be the case with Fulham, who put in a string display last weekend, with Andersen playing a big part in this.
Chelsea - Liam Delap
Delap was one of the few Chelsea attackers who did not get their name on the scoresheet in last week's demolition of West Ham. The Englishman still played a big part but ultimately did not find the back of the net.
He will be desperate to grab a goal against Fulham, especially with his attacking counterpart, Joao Pedro, hitting the ground running.
It feels like one goal for Liam Delap could spark a good run of form for the striker as he looks to break the curse of the Chelsea number nine.
