In a few short weeks, Russell Wilson will begin the next chapter of his career with the New York Giants. Following shocking news within the NFC East, the veteran QB decided to have some fun with a fellow player.
The Giants were one of the few teams in the division not dealing with any sort of offseason drama heading into the 2025 campaign. Over in Washington, the Commanders had a dragged-out ordeal with wide receiver Terry McLaurin. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys were in the midst of a messy situation with Micah Parsons.
Following a very public standoff, the Cowboys finally put an end to the Parsons saga Thursday. In a shocking turn of events, Dallas moved on from the star linebacker by trading him to the Green Bay Packers.
With Parsons now out of the division, Wilson has one less defensive star to worry about.
Russell Wilson reacts to Micah Parsons trade
To put it simply, Wilson seems elated that Parsons will not be suiting up for the Cowboys this season. The Giants quarterback was part of the initial frenzy of reactions on social media, jokingly tagging the now-former Cowboys star in a post.
Given his ties to the Wisconsin area, he is willing to lend a hand to get him out of Dallas as quickly as possible.
"You know @MicahhParsons11 I went to Wisconsin @BadgerFootball...Anything you need in Wisco...Packing ur bags.. moving company... just let me know," Wilson wrote on X.
This post garnered a response from Parsons, as he implored Wilson to reach out to him.
Wilson spent just one year at Wisconsin after transferring from North Carolina State. He put together an impressive campaign there before making the jump to the NFL, notching 3,175 yards and 33 touchdowns across 14 appearances.
Parsons might no longer be on the Cowboys, but he is still someone Wilson has to worry about. These two are slated to face off in Week 11 when the Packers travel to MetLife to take on the Giants.
Aside from weighing in on the league's latest blockbuster trade, Wilson is preparing for his official debut with the Giants. After being named the starter in training camp, the former Super Bowl Champion will be under center when New York takes on the Commanders in a little over a week.
