Arsenal teenager Max Dowman has continued his remarkable rise by being named in the England Under-19 squad for the first time.
Dowman, who made his Arsenal debut last weekend against Leeds, is only 15 years old and does not turn 16 until New Year’s Eve.
The midfielder has represented England at Under-17 level, but has now been promoted two age groups to the Under-19 squad.
Dowman is part of the squad for their upcoming international camp, which will see them face Ukraine, Spain and the Netherlands.
England will take on Ukraine next Wednesday, followed by a game with Spain on Saturday. Three days after that, they will face the Netherlands.
Dowman is in line to make his England Under-19 debut in one of those matches after being named in the squad on Friday afternoon.
The 15-year-old’s team-mate at Arsenal, goalkeeper Jack Porter, is also in the squad.
Dowman has enjoyed a brilliant few months, featuring in all three of Arsenal’s pre-season games in Asia this summer before making his debut against Leeds last week.
He has long been tipped for the top after making his debut for Arsenal’s Under-18 side when just 13 years old.
