Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones is facing some serious criticism after video surfaced of him. On Friday, groundbreaking news was announced that Micah Parsons was being traded to the Packers in exchange for two first round picks and pro-bowl DT Kenny Clark.
Shortly after the news broke, Jones held a press conference. This is what fans had to say about it.

In response to their blockbuster trade that sent all-world pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones held a press conference. There is no doubt that fans were not thrilled with what they had to say:
“Without being too broad, obviously, we did think it was in the best interest of our organization, not only the future, but right now, this season as well,” Jones said in his opening statement. “We’ve gained a Pro Bowl player in an area that we had big concerns in, on the inside of our defense.”
But after those comments, things derailed pretty quickly. Jones repeatedly referred to Micah as “Michael” and didn’t catch himself speaking incorrectly until he had made that mistake several times.
Some of Jones’ explanations of why he made the move remained nonsensical as well. He boasted of the Pro Bowl players that the two draft picks he acquired could get, seemingly failing to recognize that he just traded a player who already was a four-time Pro Bowl player and one primed to double that mark before he turns 30.
“Not only do we immediately get a player, but those draft picks could get us… Pro Bowl-type players,” Jones said. “You won’t necessarily get those players; you got to draft them or acquire. But they could get us as few as three or as many as five outstanding players. Now, not only do they contribute in a game that needs a lot of players on the field, not to be elementary, but they also give you better odds that they’re going to be … available, just from the standpoint of attrition or from the standpoint of just sheer limit on how far one player can go.”

All in all, the Cowboys did not come out of that conference smelling like roses. Fans smelled something else entirely.
Fans of every team other than the Cowboys have been having all kinds of fun with the press conference, joking how Jones is so awful that it helps the rest of them.
“I would suggest the board remove him but he’s simply the gift that keeps on giving to anyone who isn’t a Cowboys fan,” one user mocked.
“Packers just fleeced an old man with dementia,” wrote another.
“He’s (expletive) senile and has completely lost it… he is literally medically unfit to run a (expletive) sports team man.”
As for Cowboys fans, all they want is for Jones to go away.
“Jerry Jones needs to step down,” one fan wrote on X.
“It’s time for Jerry Jones to step down as GM or the Cowboys will never be good with him,” wrote another.
“Jerry Jones needs to step down. Micah Parsons never wanted to leave he just wanted him to call his agent. He was going to take a pay cut too,” a third said.
But it’ll be a cold day in hell when Jerry Jones willingly sells the Dallas Cowboys. At 82 years old he could theoretically remain in control into his mid-90s with the right level of medical care.
Nevertheless, some Cowboys fans are probably hoping that day comes a lot sooner right now.
