Cowboys have logical trade target to bolster offense following Micah Parsons trade

The Dallas Cowboys just become a worse football team without Micah Parsons, but they could look to acquire some help on offense following this move. The Parsons' trade ends a months-long standoff between the pass-rusher and Jerry Jones.

And not only did the Cowboys mess up by not paying him months ago, but the package they got back for Parsons was just pathetic. Two first-round picks and a nearly 30-year old defensive tackle is not a serious return.

Dallas obviously cannot reverse this disastrous move, but they could pivot to the offensive side of the ball and swing a trade for a very logical player at a position of need.

Dallas Cowboys must now pivot toward a trade for RB Breece Hall

Breece Hall has been a name swirling around trade rumors for a while now, and it's for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the New York Jets have a new regime with GM Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn leading the charge. They weren't the ones that drafted Breece Hall.

He's also in the last year of his contract, and with the emergence of Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis this offseason, many have wondered if Hall has become expendable. Paying running backs is not necessarily something that an NFL team has to do, so the writing might be on the wall for Breece Hall.

And if the Jets do not plan on keeping him around for the long-term, the best course of action would be a trade, and the Dallas Cowboys absolutely need a running back like Hall, as their room is simply an unknown, and it's not necessarily projected to be all that good in 2025, either.

Javonte Williams is the 'lead' back in this room, but he's averaged less than four yards per carry in each of the last two seasons and is simply not a difference-making back at this stage. Hall, on the other hand, has been quite productive during his three-year NFL career.

He's rushed for an average of 992 yards and six touchdowns across a 17-game season and has also caught 152 passes during his career. In total, Hall has 3,625 yards from scrimmage and 22 touchdowns. The fourth-year back has averaged over 1,500 yards from scrimmage across a full season, so no matter how you slice it, the Cowboys would be getting a productive running back with high-end potential.

If Dallas makes one more move this offseason, it should be adding a legitimate running back to their room, and Breece Hall could be an extremely logical acquisition following the Micah Parsons' disaster.
