A last-minute change in the terms of La Liga outfit Real Sociedad’s move for Carlos Soler has been confirmed on Friday.
This comes amid the revelation that the Basque side are now expected to secure 50% of the midfielder’s playing rights.
Soler’s name has of course proven a prominent one in the Spanish media chatter across the weeek to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Real Sociedad were closing on a deal with Paris Saint-Germain to bring the 28-year-old back to La Liga.
On Thursday, a sudden hiccup was noted in the talks between the two clubs, over the terms of the agreement.
But as alluded to above, 24 hours on, a solution appears to have been found.
As per a report from the reliable Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:
‘The latest on Carlos Soler and Real Sociedad: it is expected to finally be a transfer worth around €8M plus bonuses for 50% of his rights. After a last-minute complication, the terms of the agreement with PSG were changed – which was initially going to be a loan. The medical examination and signing are still pending. Both are expected to be a matter of a few hours.’
