The midfielder has completed his move to the south of France, with the deal including an obligation to buy for the Ligue 1 side.
That could see the move reach a fee of €7.5million plus add-ons.
Traore joined the Cherries on an initial loan move from Sassuolo in January 2023, with the deal then becoming permanent at the end of that season.

But the Ivorian has failed to nail down a spot in the Bournemouth side, making only 11 Premier League appearances in that time, although he did feature off the bench in the opening game of this season, picking up an assist for Antoine Semenyo's second goal.
While at the Cherries, he has gone on loan moves to Napoli and Auxerre, with the latter side reportedly interested in his signing this summer, along with Lyon.
But Traore has now joined Marseille for the upcoming campaign.
