The Green Bay Packers needed to make a move on the defensive line because they needed more help in the pass rush. Well, Green Bay finally decided to make a bold move by trading for Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys and traded away two first round picks and also Kenny Clark.

With Green Bay making this move, there odds to win the Super Bowl this season drastically went up. There odds to also win the NFC North also went up. Parsons is going to be a difference maker on the Packers defense right away. With that being said, a lot of people love this move for Green Bay. However, there are some people who don’t think that way for some odd reason.

Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton was on First Take on ESPN on Friday morning to take about the fallout with the Parsons trade between the Cowboys and the Packers. The one team that everyone is chasing is the Philadelphia Eagles because they are the defending champions.
Newton thinks that even with the Packers acquiring Parsons, he made a ridiculous take. Newton said,
“Green Bay is not even a true threat.”
Well, to think that the Packers are not a true threat to the Eagles is completely ignorant and idiotic. Green Bay is a true Super Bowl threat. They have not won it all since the 2010 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This could be the Packers best shot to win it all in quite some time. Green Bay definitely closed the gap on the Eagles after this trade.
