Ryan Crow, who coached 6 seasons under Mike Vrabel, charged with domestic battery

An NFL assistant coach who spent six seasons working under Mike Vrabel was arrested in Florida early Friday morning.

According to Broward County jail records, 37-year-old Ryan Crow was arrested and charged with domestic battery.

Crow is in his second season as a linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins. Previously, he spent 2018-2023 working as a linebackers coach with the Tennessee Titans under Vrabel, who is now with the New England Patriots.

According to an arrest report obtained by ESPN, officers responded to a domestic violence disturbance and arrested Crow after an investigation at the scene. The report stated that the other party in the matter was not seriously injured and refused medical attention.

The Dolphins released a statement regarding the incident and announced that they are putting the coach on administrative leave.

“We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and currently gathering more information. Ryan has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately,” the Dolphins said in the statement. “We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time.”

As of Friday morning, Crow remains in jail and has not had a bond set.

The Patriots are scheduled to play the Dolphins in Week 2 of the regular season at Miami.
