The striker has completed a permanent move to Lens on undisclosed terms.
Sima has been on Albion’s books since 2021 but never played a senior game for them in league or cup.
He had loan spells with Stoke City, Angers, Rangers and Stade Brestois, where he scored ten goals in 39 appearances last season.
Fabian Hurzeler used him up front in Japan last summer but he has rarely been seen since, although he got on late in a recent friendly against Wolfsburg.
Albion technical director David Weir said: “This move suits all parties and gives Abdallah the opportunity to get regular game time in an environment he is familiar with and has thrived in. We wish him all the best for the next chapter in his career.”
Sima did not make the Albion matchday 20 even during their recent lack of strikers but has enjoyed some success in his loan moves.
He turned 24 this summer and will be keen to progress in a career which has seen him win eight senior caps for Senegal.
