After a positive start to the Premier League campaign Burnley will be looking to continue their good from and gain another valuable three points in their bid for survival.
As Scott Parker said in his press conference there are no injuries to report on from Burnley's perspective so it is likely that they use the same lineup from their victory against Sunderland.
The only position up for debate will be the right winger position as Jacob Bruun Larsen was not up to his usual standard last time out against Sunderland. Whilst, Loum Tchaouna impressed against Derby County in the Carabao Cup giving Scott Parker room for thought when it comes to that position in the team.
Manchester United have made yet another slow start to the Premier League campaign with the Red Devils still searching for their first three points of the season.
Suffering a loss to Arsenal and only managing a draw away at Fulham. Most recently falling to a shock defeat at the hands of, League Two, Grimsby Town in a penalty shootout during the second round fixtures of the Carabao Cup.
The midfield battle
Many teams have had success against Manchester United's midfield and Burnley will be looking to do the same.
As the two man midfield that Ruben Amorim uses is easily outnumbered and that has been more evident since pushing Bruno Fernandes back into one of the two midfield positions.
As the Manchester United captain lacks the discipline to perform in that role consistently and often roams from his position causing there to be huge gaps for teams to exploit.
The Clarets will be looking to do exactly that especially if they use a three man midfield like they did against Sunderland.
With the energy of Hannibal Mejbri, the composure of Josh Cullen and Lesley Ugochukwu Burnley will find ways to have success against a potential midfield of Casemiro and Fernandes.
With the Brazilian midfielder having do the majority of the defensive work in the midfield he will get overrun by the work rate from the three men in Burnley's midfield.
With Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi saying "We knew that we would be able to get in behind their two midfielders and that their center backs would want to jump - we exploited that today."
Showing that teams are aware of the issues in Ruben Amorim's system and know how to exploit it to give them an advantage in the match.
Stopping Matheus Cunha
Despite not scoring yet this season the Brazilian forward has been the Red Devils' brightest spark in a team desperate for quality in attack.
Burnley's defence will be faced with the task of keeping Cunha quiet if they want to take points away from Old Trafford.
Cunha has developed a good partnership with, left wing back, Patrick Dorgu which has been producing good attacking chances for Manchester United.
With both of these players occupying Burnley's weakest side of their defence in Kyle Walker and Hjalmar Ekdal. Both of these defenders will need to be on top of their games to prevent them from having an impact on the result of the match.
As it was shown in the match against Sunderland that Burnley can be attacked down their right hand side as that is how the Black Cats created their two biggest chances of the game.
Burnley's wide players
With Amorim opting for a three man defence with two wing backs also providing cover the wide men will be crucial in how Burnley attack.
As they can't allow Lyle Foster to be a lone man in the final third against the three center backs.
Diogo Dalot and Dorgu often operate in the spaces that are high and wide allowing Burnley's wide men to find space behind them and be in a one against one with the wide center backs that Manchester United use.
With Jaidon Anthony being a definite starter he will need to be as clinical as he was against Sunderland. He will also need to be at his creative best as Burnley will be wanting to pick up another three points as they work towards survival.
After a positive display against Derby County, young French forward Tcahouna has given himself the best chance at starting at Old Trafford on Saturday.
His direct running and decision making is something that Burnley can benefit from as they have often squandered good chances through poor decision making
Burnley's center backs against Sesko
Maxime Esteve and Ekdal are likely going to be the center back partnership at the weekend after helping to keep a clean sheet against Sunderland.
In that match the pair had to deal with clearing a lot of crosses into the 18 yard box but on Saturday they will be faced with six foot five Benjamin Sesko.
A striker that is very good aerially providing a different threat to Burnley than they were up against in the match against Sunderland as Mayenda is not as much of a threat as Sesko is in the air.
So in order to stop Sesko the Burnley defenders will need to be focused throughout the 90 minutes. As against Tottenham Hotspur, on the opening weekend, any lapse in focus can cause the Clarets to concede a goal in the Premier League.
