The deal for Ramazani came as a shock to almost everyone. After he was left out of the matchday squad, Daniel Farke said the decision had ”nothing to do” with the player. Then reports from Spain emerged that he had been linked with a loan deal to Valencia. A deal took a few days to work out because the Spanish side wanted an option to buy included in the deal. Both sides finalized a move.
The Belgian had some interesting things to say in his first interview with the team:
“Talking to the coach has given me a lot of confidence, and I’m happy.
“I like having someone who shows confidence in me. I think it’s very important for a player that your coach does that for you, and with that you can take a step forward.”
Speaking about a new manager in that tone says a lot about your former coach. Ramazani never got the chance to play that much under Daniel Farke, but hopefully he gets a fresh start at Valencia.
What Valencia’s coach has said about Ramazani
It is believed that Ramazani will be a key signing to the team. Valencia coach Carlos Corberan wanted a deal done for the Belgian before Friday.
When the winger arrived, Corberan said to AS:
“When the club approached me about this player, what I knew about him was that he’s versatile and fast.
“And that, in addition to receiving with his feet, his speed allows him to stretch the team and get behind the opponent. The club has done a good job finding talents to make the squad more competitive.”
