What Manchester City sources have said about Manuel Akanji’s transfer stance
Manchester City News spoke to GRV Media chief correspondent Graeme Bailey about what Man City have planned for the last few days of the transfer window.
When it came to Akanji’s future, Bailey said the player is mulling over his next step, but he claimed there’s also a good chance the defender stays put.
“He’s thinking about his future, but there’s a real chance he stays actually,” said Bailey. “I think he’s considering what to do – keep an eye on him for sure.”
The 30-year-old has delivered plenty of great moments at City, with Danny Murphy previously calling Akanji “incredible” and “wonderful”.
However, the consensus among plenty of Man City fans is that Akanji would be better off finding another club this summer.
