Xabi Alonso admits he ‘can’t wait’ to have injured Real Madrid star back

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has on Friday revealed his excitment at the prospect of having a sidelined member of his squad at his disposal for the very first time.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

Midfielder Camavinga is for his part of course sidelined once more at present.

This comes after the Frenchman, in the final stages of his recovery from a prior injury, picked up a fresh problem earlier this month.

As much, all told, means that Camavinga is yet to take to the pitch under the orders of new Real Madrid headmaster Xabi Alonso.

And safe to say, the latter is altogether excited by the prospect of having the 22-year-old at his command.

Drawn on Camavinga’s ongoing absence during his latest press conference on Friday, Alonso admitted:

“I can’t wait to have Camavinga. l’ve had him around, but not with continuity, like how I want. He’ll contribute a lot, he has a lot of modern football qualities. He fits in with what we want to do, and he will have his place.”
