Three Man United players 'set to leave', but Sancho may remain at Old Trafford

Manchester United are reportedly expecting at least three players to leave Old Trafford before this summer's transfer window closes for business, but Jadon Sancho could stay at the club.

Chelsea have agreed a £40m fee for Alejandro Garnacho, with the Argentina international's move to Stamford Bridge expected to be confirmed over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Napoli are advancing on a deal for Rasmus Hojlund, with the striker set to join the Italian champions on an initial loan; the move is then expected to become permanent during next summer's transfer window.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Real Betis are also in advanced talks over a deal for Antony, with all parties confident that the Brazil international will be able to secure a return to Seville.

The report claims that there is still a lot of work to do when it comes to an exit for Sancho, as talks over a move to Roma have broken down, and there is no obvious suitor for him at this stage.

Tyrell Malacia is also available, with Elche keen, although a deal is not close, and it remains to be seen whether an exit can be negotiated before the transfer deadline.

Sancho, in theory, could still move elsewhere after the closing of the window on September 1, with clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia having longer to make signings.

However, it would also not be a surprise to see the Englishman stay put and see out the final year of his contract, even if it means missing a season of football.

Kobbie Mainoo has allegedly asked to leave the Red Devils on loan before the end of the transfer window, but Man United have no desire to let the Englishman depart.

**"**Until it is official, I cannot say much. I want Kobbie [Mainoo] to stay. He needs to fight for his place. We need Kobbie. I understand that the players who aren't playing in this moment are disappointed. You have to fight during the week," head coach Ruben Amorim told reporters during his press conference on Friday.

Man United have been attempting to shift Sancho throughout the transfer window but have been unsuccessful, with the attacker rejecting a number of clubs due to his wage demands.

Chelsea had been keen to sign him on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell last term, but the Blues could not agree personal terms and then had to pay a £5m penalty fee to Man United.

The 25-year-old has another year left to run on his contract, worth £250,000 a week, and he could see out his final season, although clubs from Saudi Arabia and Turkey may reignite their interest if he does not secure an exit before the September 1 deadline.
