Travis Hunter is having a legendary year, and it continued this week.
The former Colorado Buffaloes star became the second player in school history to win a Heisman and he used his unreal final college season to become the second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Before even playing his first game in the pros for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hunter had another momentous day in his life.
Hunter became a father. He and his wife, Leanna De La Fuente, revealed the arrival of their newborn son with a vlog on YouTube on Wednesday. The video titled “Dear Son…” documents the couple’s timeline up to when their baby was born.
The couple, who was married earlier this year, did not share the boy’s name or birthdate but shared moments from the pregnancy.

De La Fuente, 23, and Hunter, 22, also show short videos ahead of the 2025 NFL draft. Leanna says during the video, “We’re going to find out where Daddy’s going to be,” to which Hunter responds, “And where you’re going to grow up.”
“And then you gonna come up and you gonna be like me and get drafted to Jacksonville,” Hunter says a bit after being taken by the Jags. “Got to be better than me.”
Hunter and De La Fuente met in high school in Georgia. They dated at Jackson State and stayed together through his transfer to Colorado.
The Buffaloes’ star got his jersey retied in Boulder for his outstanding two-way play, which he aims to do in the pros and break barriers.
