Harvey Elliott’s future at Liverpool has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the summer transfer window.
TBR Football understands Liverpool want Elliott to remain at Anfield despite suggestions that Arne Slot is willing to sanction his departure.
He found his game time limited at the Reds last season, despite having emerged as an influential first-team member during Jurgen Klopp’s final season.
The 22-year-old’s potential availability has caught the interest of clubs across Europe; Tottenham have registered interest in Elliott alongside a host of Premier League sides.

And his efforts throughout the Under-21 European Championships with England saw Elliott’s stock rise, but he made sure to pay tribute to soon-to-be Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade.
Harvey Elliott called Newcastle United target Nick Woltemade “incredible”
Elliott scored the opening goal during the final of the Under-21 Euros, wherein England lifted the trophy following a 3-2 win against Germany.
Although Elliott’s goal was influential in deciding the result, it was not enough to claim the Golden Boot over Woltemade, and the Liverpool midfielder took note of the German’s efforts throughout the tournament.
“He’s an incredible player, he’s been so good this tournament,” Elliott said to the media after the final. “I’m very happy for him and wish him all the best for the future.”

Newcastle have agreed a deal for Woltemade with VfB Stuttgart believed to be in the region of £64.8-77.8 million.
The Magpies have been scouring the market for two centre forwards all summer, and Eddie Howe is expected to move for Yoane Wissa once Woltemade is through the door at St James’ Park.
Liverpool hold a keen interest in the developments in the North East as Newcastle’s transfer business directly affects the Reds’ pursuit of Alexander Isak.
Liverpool can now push for Isak after Woltemade transfer
Isak and Liverpool have dominated headlines throughout the final weeks of the transfer window, and now it appears the saga is reaching a foregone conclusion.
The Reds are expected to improve their offer for Isak following Newcastle’s breakthrough with Woltemade, which should soften their ‘not for sale’ stance on the Swedish international.
Of course, Hugo Ekitike has begun his Anfield career in scintillating form, scoring in all three of his competitive appearances in England.
However, Isak is the dream signing for Slot, and it will be interesting to see whether the transfer will now go through before the deadline. Furthermore, it will be intriguing to see how the Liverpool boss plans to fit Isak and Ekitike into the same line-up.
