With just days remaining in the summer transfer window, clubs are scrambling to finalise their business before the deadline on September 1.
Liverpool have been among the Premier League’s busiest sides, securing eight new signings, including club-record arrival Florian Wirtz.
However, speculation continues to swirl around a potential move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
The 25-year-old has been training alone after expressing his desire to leave St James’ Park, despite still having three years remaining on his contract.
Isak released a statement accusing Newcastle of breaking promises made to him, declaring that “the relationship can’t continue.”
Liverpool are believed to be keen on the Sweden international but have already seen a £110million bid rejected this summer.
Elsewhere, Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott continue to be linked with moves away from the club.
Tsimikas has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield following the summer arrival of Milos Kerkez, and Andy Robertson also featuring at left-back.
He was left out of Arne Slot’s matchday squads for Liverpool’s opening two Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Newcastle, as well as the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace.
The defender joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020 and signed a new contract in 2023, extending his deal until the summer of 2027.
Used primarily as Robertson’s deputy, he has made 115 appearances for the club.
Tsimikas is on the verge of joining AS Roma after a loan deal was agreed with Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Greek left-back has been authorised to travel for medical tests ahead of completing the move.
Roma will cover Tsimikas’ wages in full until June, with no option to buy included in the deal.
The 29-year-old was keen on making the switch to Italy in search of regular first-team football.
