NBA All-Time Rank No. 33: John Havlicek

Ranking the top 50 players in NBA history…

“Hondo” played all 16 of his NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics, and he belongs on the Mount Rushmore of that storied franchise, which is saying quite a lot, considering the players that have worn Celtics green through the years.

A versatile swingman known for his stamina and hustle, Havlicek played both small forward and shooting guard.

Havlicek never got tired, leading the NBA in minutes played in the 1970-71 and 1971-72 seasons with astounding 45.4 minutes per game and 45.1 minutes per game averages in the respective seasons. He also finished fourth in MVP voting in 1971-72.
