Liverpool only have a couple of days to wrap up any remaining business before the transfer window shuts. The Premier League champions have already forked out nearly £300m on new players this summer, yet they've shown no sign of slowing down ahead of Monday's deadline.
Arne Slot began by welcoming Giorgi Mamardashvili to Anfield from Valencia. After parting ways with Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Reds needed a new right-back, so they prised Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
It wasn't long until Liverpool went back to Germany for a second bite of the cherry, breaking the British transfer record for Florian Wirtz. Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike followed the Germany international to Merseyside, while Armin Pesci and Giovanni Leoni have also joined the club, taking the Reds' total spend to £290m.
Richard Hughes has enjoyed a fruitful summer, but there's plenty of work to be done in the final days. So, with that being said, the ECHO has taken a look at what the perfect end to the transfer window would be for Liverpool.
Outgoings
Before the club welcomes more new faces to Anfield, they need to offload Kostas Tsimikas. The left-back has been heavily linked with a move away this summer and reports on Friday night suggested he's set to join Roma on loan, freeing up space on the wage bill.
The ECHO also understands the Premier League champions have decided to resist late attempts to sign Harvey Elliott, after coming to the conclusion that his true value exceeds the current market rate for players in his position. It comes following recent transfers between £38m and £42m for the likes of Tyler Dibling (to Everton), Jacob Ramsey (to Newcastle United), Matheus Fernandes (to West Ham United) and Omari Hutchinson (to Nottingham Forest).

Incomings
Once Hughes has resolved the futures of Elliott and Tsimikas, the Liverpool sporting director should do whatever it takes to sign Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi. The Newcastle United striker and Crystal Palace defender have been heavily linked with moves to Anfield this summer – and it comes as no surprise.
Isak would significantly upgrade the Reds' front-line. Hugo Ekitike has hit the ground running in Merseyside this summer, but the Sweden international is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.
As for Guehi, he'd arrive as a ready-made replacement for Ibrahima Konate, who's recently entered the final year of his contract. With Virgil van Dijk approaching the latter stages of his career, Slot needs his captain to be ready to pass the baton – whether that's to the England international or Giovanni Leoni.

Konate and Robertson sign new deals
Once Hughes has secured the signatures of Isak and Guehi, the Liverpool sporting director needs to tie Konate down to a long-term contract. The France international could, one day, be the perfect enforcer to partner Guehi at centre-half, so it's important that the Reds have a ready-made solution to Van Dijk's inevitable decline – whether that's tomorrow or in three years.
Andy Robertson could also do with a new deal. Milos Kerkez has had a somewhat shaky start to life at Liverpool following his transfer from Bournemouth, so the Reds could do with keeping the Scotland international for another year or two.
While neither player strictly needs to sign a new contract before the window closes - in an ideal scenario Liverpool will want their futures wrapped up as quickly as possible.
