Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman doesn't know the concept of the word "rest" and he continues his pursuit of crafting the perfect roster.
The Eagles announced multiple roster moves, which include the signings of running back Audric Estime and defensive back Ambry Thomas. They also released wide receiver Terrace Marshall and cornerback Eli Ricks. It concluded with placing offensive lineman Willie Lampkin on the injured reserve list.

Estime was a fourth-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2024, rushing for 310 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season. Thomas was drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, but spent time last year with the 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings on their practice squads.
Marshall was on the practice squad for the last few days as he was in his first year with the Eagles after previous runs with the Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders. Ricks has spent his entire two-plus-year career with the Eagles, mainly on special teams.
Lampkin just signed with the Eagles this week after getting cut by the Los Angeles Rams. He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft out of North Carolina.
What do the roster moves mean for the Eagles
Estime was reported two days ago and has finally become official. The Eagles didn't have a running back on the practice squad and needed one, so that gives them a young, capable back there.
The Lampkin injury was not discussed when they first signed him, so that adds an interesting wrinkle to it all. He was listed as the third-string, which adds an interesting wrinkle to the situation at left guard for the Eagles on their first unofficial depth chart.
It does feel like a lot of these most recent moves are more roster gymnastics than anything as it would be hard to believe the Eagles would let Marshall or Ricks sit out there for long. They could be back on the roster sooner rather than later.

Most of these moves are about getting the practice squad set up. Watch for the Lumpkin update as the Eagles could call up a lineman from the practice squad to replace him.
