The Dallas Cowboys did the unthinkable when they actually traded away Micah Parsons to an NFC rival. Skip Bayless, who is a very vocal Cowboys fan, couldn’t believe what he was looking at when the news broke. So much so that a video he posted shortly after went viral.

Having been a longtime Cowboys cheerleader and TV personality for ESPN and Fox Sports, Skip Bayless had the reaction of Packers fans. It was a joyful moment for him:
Not rejoicing for the Packers but celebrating that Parsons was no longer wearing the Cowboys star.
“Good riddance and good luck, Green Bay,” Bayless said in describing his gut reaction of the colossal trade on Aug. 28 between the NFC teams.
Bayless, who’s getting back in the game this fall after a year off the air with a new football show on YouTube called “The Arena: Gridiron,” says the Packers “overpaid for the overhyped Micah Parsons.”
“He’ll never be able to live up to that money, especially in Green Bay, where I don’t think he’ll ever be happy living,” Bayless said.

The Packers are giving the 26-year-old Parsons a $188 million contract extension across four years, which makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Bayless says he thought Parsons had the potential to be the next Lawrence Taylor, the Hall of Fame linebacker who won three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards in the 1980s and a league MVP in 1986.
Those thoughts are long gone, at least for Bayless.
Like Taylor, Parsons was the defensive rookie of the year after posting 13 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles in 2021. But, according to Bayless, “the league figured him out. The league caught up. He’s just not consistently impactful.”
