It has been a busy offseason thus far for the Pheonix Suns as they made the decision to completely overhaul their roster.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for a package centered around Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and the pick used to select Khaman Maluach in the 2025 draft.

They also acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets and bought out Bradley Beal’s contract, allowing him to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

With both Durant and Beal now gone, the only remaining piece of the Suns star trio is Devin Booker, whom they signed to a massive contract extension this summer.

While the Suns have already made multiple moves to change up their roster after their struggles over the past few seasons, more moves could be coming before the trade deadline in February.

Suns predicted to acquire Jonathan Kuminga from Warriors

With this in mind, FanSided’s Peter O’Keefe recently released a four-team mock trade that has the Suns acquiring Jonathan Kuminga from the Golden State Warriors.

In the trade, the Suns would land Kuminga from the Warriors while Golden State would acquire Trey Murphy III from the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans would receive Moses Moody and three first-round picks from the Warriors, Nick Richards from the Suns and Haywood Highsmith from the Brooklyn Nets.

For Brooklyn, they would land Grayson Allen and both a first and second-round pick from the Suns and second-round pick from the Pelicans.

This would be a true blockbuster trade that would see two young forwards switching teams in Murphy III and Kuminga.

For the Suns, adding Kuminga to their roster would give them another young player to build around for the future alongside Booker, Green and Maluach.

Phoenix would also not have to give up too much to acquire Kuminga with both Allen and Richards continuing to be in trade rumors, especially with them in desperate need of more young talent for their rebuild.

Kuminga would give the Suns another great scorer and solid defender at the forward position who could fit in well alongside Booker, Green, Brooks and Williams in the starting lineup or also come off the bench.

Of course, the Suns reportedly offered the Warriors a trade for the young forward earlier this offseason that was shut down but that may not be the case in this deal with Golden State upgrading their forward position by acquiring Murphy III.
