All the latest Arsenal news and transfer rumours as they prepare to face Liverpool.

Arsenal are gearing up for one of the most important games of their season, even at this early stage. The Gunners face Liverpool in the game of the weekend on Sunday, and they will want to pass the early litmus test against their likely title rivals.

In the meantime, the Gunners are trying to beat Monday’s deadline with more incomings and outgoings. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Kiwior latest

Arsenal are closing in on the sale of defender Jakub Kiwior, who has been pushing to move on in a bid to start more games. The Poland international was a regular during the season before last but he was overlooked for much of last season, only coming in regularly at the end of the season to fill in for Gabriel Magalhaes.

Fabrizio Romano has posted on X regarding Kiwior’s future: “Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto, here we go! Deal agreed with Arsenal on loan with obligation to buy. €2m loan fee, €17m obligation to buy plus add-ons and sell-on clause up to potential fee over €25/27m. Kiwior scheduled to fly in next 24h as soon as documents are approved.”

Hincapie chase

Kiwior’s departure is key in Arsenal signing a replacement as they look to step up the quality they have behind Magalhaes and William Saliba. It now looks as though a deal for Piero Hincapie is likely, and on a similar basis to the Kiwior deal.

Romano added: “Understand Arsenal are closing in on Piero Hincapié deal with Bayer, here we go soon! Agreement almost done as Bayer accept loan with obligation to buy for Hincapié as formula wanted by #AFC. Details on fee structure being sorted and then here we go coming next.”

Clarke on Eze signing

Former Gunner Adrian Clarke was delighted with his old club’s signing of Eberechi Eze. He said: “Absolutely buzzing. I could barely sleep that night when it was sort of, when the bomb dropped, genuinely. I was just buzzing.

“Yeah, sort of told my little kids, you know, they’re nine and seven, but they’re mad Arsenal fans and they were buzzing because everyone knows that Eze is a great player and just a lovely player to watch. I think he was, he’s most people’s favourite individual outside of the club that they support, just because he’s fun to watch. So yeah, that was great.”

Meanwhile, Ian Wright has been discussing where Eze could it into Arsenal’s starting XI, given his chosen position is currently occupied by Martin Odegaard, something that is unlikely to change.

“I think he’d probably be on that left side,” Wright said on the Stick To Football podcast. “Left side coming in, coming inside, I don’t know, Myles Lewis-Skelly scurrying things down outside, you know what I mean? He won’t bother, he might say, listen, I just want to play and stamp myself and then go from there.

“As long as I’m on the pitch, as long as I’m given the opportunity to play and to express myself in that environment, then it doesn’t matter where I’m playing. Of course, he [Arteta] has ideas and things that he wants, but for me, I’m free man, I’m free.”
