Whilst this summer has been an exciting one in terms of players arriving at Leeds United, there have also been a number of players who have left the club.
Already this summer, Leeds United have signed 10 new players. Now with the transfer window closing in a few days’ time, it looks like Daniel Farke might try to do a bit of late business.
But there’s every chance that Leeds have now signed their last player, and that the focus for the final days of the window will be on moving players out of the club.
Just this week, Largie Ramazani has left Leeds United to join Valencia on loan, whilst the likes of Junior Firpo and Mateo Joseph both endured sagas as they awaited their exits at Elland Road.
Here’s how the 13 players who left Leeds United are faring so far…
Rasmus Kristensen
Leeds United forked out £10million to sign Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg back in 2022. But the Danish defender didn’t live up to the hype, and was one of many to leave on loan following relegation in 2023.
Back in April, Kristensen sealed a permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt where he’s played two competitive matches, with Frankfurt winning 5-0 in the DFB Pokal and then beating Bremen 4-1 in their Bundesliga opener.
Sam Greenwood
Forgotten forward Sam Greenwood has sealed a surprise move to Poland. Earlier this week, Greenwood officially signed for Pogon in the Polish top flight, with Leeds United raking in a steady £3.5m for his services.

Junior Firpo
Firpo’s future was a hot topic at Elland Road earlier in the summer. The former Barcelona man saw his contract expire and despite Leeds United offering Firpo a new deal, he chose to leave, and move to La Liga with Real Betis.
So far though, Firpo has sat out two league matches with Betis. Firpo started in the 1-0 win over Alaves earlier in August but has been an unused substitute in Betis’ other two La Liga fixtures so far.
Max Wober
Max Wober is another who looked likely to move on this summer. Daniel Farke decided to send the Austrian out on loan to Werder Bremen, but after their cup opener, Wober picked up an injury and faces a decent stint on the sidelines.
Largie Ramazani
Another player to leave West Yorkshire recently is Ramazani. The winger played a bit part role last time round and looked set to be on the peripheries of the first-team this time round too.
Ramazani has joined Valencia on loan, where former Leeds no.2 Carlos Corberan will look to get the best out of him.
Joe Gelhardt
To many fans’ surprise, Joe Gelhardt has only left Leeds on loan this summer, not permanently. He always looked set to move on but most anticipated a permanent exit after several years of trying and failing to make an impact for Leeds.
Gelhardt has returned to Hull City on loan where he’s scored once in his opening three league appearances of the campaign.
Isaac Schmidt
Isaac Schmidt is another who’s left Leeds United on loan this summer. The Swiss full-back signed for Leeds last summer but failed to make a single start in the Championship last time round.
A loan exit always looked inevitable for the 25-year-old, whose temporary move to Werder Bremen was confirmed on Thursday.
Charlie Crew
Academy graduate Charlie Crew has left Leeds United on loan once again, returning to Doncaster Rovers after helping the club to promotion from League Two last season.
He’s so far featured three times in the league, starting twice with his side in 8th place of the table after five league games.
Patrick Bamford
On Thursday, Patrick Bamford‘s time at Elland Road came to an end. Leeds United announced that Bamford has left the club after agreeing to terminate his deal, and where he ends up next remains a mystery.
Joshua Guilavogui
Fan favourite Josuha Guilavogui was released at the end of last season. It was highly expected that the former French international would move on at the end of his contract, and he remains without a club aged 34.
Mateo Joseph
Like with Firpo, Joseph’s future became a bit of a saga. But the forward’s situation became quite heated with Joseph handing in a transfer request at Leeds United after refusing to go on the pre-season tour in Germany.
After some back and forth, Joseph eventually signed for Mallorca on loan. He’s since featured twice in La Liga, coming off the bench at half-time of the game against Barcelona which Mallorca eventually lost 3-0.
Joseph then started the second game against Celta Vigo, helping his side to a 1-1 draw before coming off before the 7th minute mark.

Manor Solomon
Manor Solomon was one of the really standout players for Leeds United last season. On loan from Spurs, the winger scored 10 and assisted 13 in 39 league appearances, before returning to his parent club.
And that’s where he remains, currently injured and now being linked with a shock move to Sheffield United ahead of deadline day.
Joe Rothwell
Leeds fans grew to love Joe Rothwell last season. The midfielder spent the campaign on loan from Bournemouth and in 36 Championship appearances he grabbed himself four assists.
Since, Rothwell has joined Rangers on a permanent deal, and fans were quick to share their praise for the Englishman who’s played three times in the league, grabbing one assist.
