Opinion: Thomas Tuchel might be keeping a keen eye on Everton youngster after England…

Everton might be confused at some Thomas Tuchel decisions with England, but there is one future choice he is bound to make.

Jordan Pickford has been the only Everton player who has been consistently in the England squad for a number of years.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a brief period, but the Three Lions’ number one has always been Mr Reliable.

But in recent times, Tuchel wants his keeper to play European football, which of course, the Toffees shot-stopper cannot offer.

Although his fortunes look uncertain, another Toffees player is progressing through the ranks in the national set-up.

Tyler Dibling receives England under-21 call-up after £40m Everton move

The 19-year-old already comes with an international pedigree after already playing in the England set-up, and has once again got a call-up to the under-21s this September.

It’s obviously not a first-team move for the youngster, but there is certainly time for that to happen.

Tuchel has liked Jack Grealish’s ‘impact’ at Everton, and could add him to his plans further down the line if his performances continue with the Toffees, and the same could be said for Dibling.

Well, the winger already seems to have gotten the Three Lions manager’s approval, after what happened in 2022.

Thomas Tuchel signed Everton’s Tyler Dibling for Chelsea so he knows of England potential

Dibling was obviously made at Southampton, but before he was with the Saints for a second time, Tuchel showed an interest in the youngster when he was 16.

The deal eventually occurred, and the German and Chelsea signed the exciting talent for £1.5 million from the Saints, as he was making a lot of noise down south.

He obviously returned to the South Coast, but only did so due to feeling homesick about the move to London, so Tuchel would no doubt have kept the winger on.

The former Chelsea boss obviously saw the prospect of a young Dibling, and with him having the chance to really impress on the Premier League stage this campaign, the England manager could be keeping a watchful eye.

Tuchel might know that Dibling is ‘worth every penny’ and the German will surely be looking over his development at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season.
