Thursday was a great day for the New York Giants and their fanbase. After being mocked relentlessly for the past few years, that is now being directed towards the Dallas Cowboys. That's because instead of trying to lock in their franchise superstar, pass rusher Micah Parsons, they decided to trade him to the Green Bay Packers.
The reactions poured in throughout the NFL. Cowboys fans were livid. Packers fans were ecstatic. The fanbases of other teams were stunned. For NFC East fans, they were thrilled that Parsons was no longer in their division. The same goes for players in the NFC East.
Giants quarterback Russell Wilson took to Twitter to offer some "help" for Parsons. Wilson mentions that since he is familiar with Wisconsin, dating back to his college days playing for the Badgers, he can suggest moving companies for him.
You know @MicahhParsons11 I went to Wisconsin @BadgerFootball…
Anything you need in Wisco…
Packing ur bags.. moving company… just let me know. 😂🤣😂

Russell Wilson hilariously offers to help Micah Parsons move to Green Bay after trade from Cowboys
This was obviously a tongue-in-cheek comment from Wilson, but if Parsons was curious about moving companies, he would know!
Before becoming a Giants, Denver Broncos, and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Wilson played college football at the University of Wisconsin. After spending three years at NC State, Wilson transferred over to play for the Badgers in the 2011 season. In his lone year at Wisconsin, Wilson helped lead the program to an inaugural Big Ten Championship Game victory and a trip to the Rose Bowl.
In 14 games with the Badgers, Wilson threw for 3,175 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just four interceptions after completing 72.8 percent of his passes. After his lone year at Wisconsin, he was drafted in the third round by the Seahawks in 2012, and the rest was history, becoming one of the top quarterbacks in the game in his prime.
There was no real competition when Wilson signed with the Giants this offseason. Head coach Brian Daboll ensured of that by announcing he would be the starting quarterback at the very start of training camp. The hope is that Wilson can navigate through what is a tough schedule to help the Giants pick up some wins. But with rookie Jaxson Dart shining in the preseason, it may not be too long until we see him start some games.
But without Parsons on the Cowboys, it is definitely more feasible for the Giants and Wilson to pick up a win in Week 2.
