Man Utd still want to add to their squad before deadline day of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been made a transfer target by United before Monday's deadline, with Royal Antwerp eager to facilitate a transfer for their star man, given how much money it would earn them.

Lammens was left out of the Royal Antwerp squad for their 2-1 victory over Mechelen last weekend and is set to be left out of their squad to face Westerlo on Saturday evening. It is understood the goalkeeper would like to feature for his current club, but they don't want to risk jeopardising a lucrative deal in case he were to get injured.

It is also believed Lammens would favour a move to Old Trafford this summer, but Antwerp does not have a preference and are prepared to sell the goalkeeper to the highest bidder. Galatasaray have also approached the Belgian side over a possible transfer and could be prepared to pay a higher fee than United.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Antwerp boss Stef Wils provided a transfer update on his goalkeeper. “Senne is following an individual program, in consultation with all parties. That’s a logical decision. Since this could be a major outgoing transfer, we want to minimise the risk of injuries.”

Ruben Amorim wanted to refresh his goalkeeper department this summer amid doubts over both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir. Neither option is viewed as an ideal fit for his intended style of play, and both of them have produced high-profile errors already this season.

United have distanced themselves from a high-profile move for Gianluigi Donnarumma before deadline day, while they saw a loan bid for Emiliano Martinez rejected earlier in the summer. United have until Monday 1 September to secure a possible deal for Lammens, while Galatasaray have an extra two weeks due to the later closure of the Turkish transfer window on Friday 11 September.
