Man City are already preparing to entertain permanent offers for Jack Grealish at the end of the season following his strong start at Everton.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about the 29-year-old’s long-term future at the Etihad after his season away.
The England international has resigned himself to the fact that he no longer has a future at City regardless of whether he enjoys a successful spell at Everton.
Football Insider revealed on 26 August that Grealish will consider a wage drop to leave City permanently, as the Toffees would be keen to land him following his loan deal.
The attacking midfielder had been linked with permanent moves away from the Etihad this summer, but his substantial wage packet was an issue for interested sides.

Man City make permanent Jack Grealish decision after Everton loan
Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Moyes backs himself to reignite Grealish’s career and recreate the “showman” he saw at Aston Villa.
The England international has enjoyed a fast start to his career at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as he picked up two assists in a masterclass display against Brighton.

O’Rourke explained that regardless of the success of his short-term move, Grealish is likely to move on permanently next summer, with clubs already keen.
“I think it’s pretty evident that his long-term future is away from City,” he told Football Insider.
“He wasn’t getting a look in under Pep Guardiola last season and they’ve allowed him to go on loan.
“City are planning for life without Grealish, and I think Grealish probably himself has resigned himself that he won’t be returning to City.

“Even if he has a really good season for Everton, it looks like both parties are ready to move on.
“If Grealish has a good season, recaptures that form that we’ve seen in the past, I’m sure there’ll be a number of clubs who’ve been looking at Jack Grealish.
“Not just in the Premier League, but also abroad.
“So yeah, it’s a big season ahead for Grealish, as we’ve said many times before.”
Pep Guardiola makes Savinho decision after Tottenham latest
Grealish is not the only player who has been linked with a permanent move away from City this summer, as Tottenham remain keen to sign Savinho.
However, Football Insider revealed on 29 August that Man City have no plans to sell Savinho despite efforts to prise him away from Guardiola’s side.

The boss remains determined to keep hold of one of his most exciting players, and has urged the club’s hierarchy to price him out of a move to North London.
This comes after former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham are still working to sign Savinho and hope to reach an agreement.
