After a brilliant season with the Detroit Pistons, Beasley was set to sign a three-year deal worth $42 million to return to the Pistons before initial word of the federal investigation regarding alleged betting.
Though he was cleared, Beasley still has some legal things to solve to be officially cleared for NBA, as the league itself will do their own independent investigation on that matter.
Per Marc Stein, league sources say that four primary teams have been in contact with the sharpshooter's representation in hopes that he can eventually be signed.
They are Cleveland, New York, Minnesota and his most recent team Detroit.
No team reached the deal-making phase with him, but are interested if and when Beasley becomes fully eligible to sign a contract.
Stein's sources also clarify that Beasley will ultimately be seeking a deal north of the veteran minimum and would figure to command that, if the 28-year-old can indeed play on with no off-court obstacles, after he shot 41.6% from deep last year.
