Manor Solomon thrived at Leeds United on loan last season.

Solomon joined Leeds from Tottenham 12 months ago and became an instant hit with his starring performances at Elland Road.

It is fair to say that the Israel international was superb under Daniel Farke, with Solomon showing his class on his Leeds debut against Hull City.

With these starring performances, it is little surprise that Solomon has been strongly linked with a return to Yorkshire throughout the summer.

This has seen Spurs boss Thomas Frank green-light a Leeds move for Solomon, with the attacker now speaking out after the latest transfer development in LS11.

Manor Solomon maintains Leeds United connection

Leeds are facing competition from Roma to sign Solomon as the transfer saga hots up with just days remaining in the transfer window.

The return of the 26-year-old would go down well at Elland Road, given just how good the winger was on his loan spell from North London last year.

Solomon went on to feature 41 times for Leeds last season

Throughout that spell, he scored 10 and assisted 13 in all competitions

This included the Championship title winning goal against Plymouth Argyle

It appears that a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is on the cards, but with the 1 September transfer deadline fast approaching, it will be interesting to see if a deal can get done.

With that in mind, Leeds have seemingly opened up a gap in their squad for an additional forward after Patrick Bamford’s exit was confirmed.

After seven years in Yorkshire, the 31-year-old has now departed after a mutual agreement was reached to end his contract early.

This has seen an outpouring of emotion be showcased on social media as Leeds stars past and present reach out to the former England international.

One of those was the Leeds-linked Solomon, who reached out to say: “All the best brother.”

Patrick Bamford needs to be replaced at Leeds

Although minutes were always going to be limited for the number nine, his presence could have been a boost for the Thorp Arch dressing room.

With that being said, he also leaves a sizable gap in the squad which Farke and Co. would certainly benefit from filling before the window slams shut.

Although Solomon may not be a direct replacement, his goal and assist output last season is something that could be replicated in the Premier League.

If a deal could be arranged in the late stages of the summer, it could be the perfect boost for Leeds after the sudden departure of Bamford.
