On Friday, Gianluca di Marzio reported Newcastle United had made an initial loan offer for Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.
The approach from the Magpies didn’t meet the Nerazzurri’s demands, who are not keen to sell the midfielder.
Today’s Corriere dello Sport, relayed by FCInterNews, reports Newcastle United have made concrete contact for the midfielder in recent days but Frattesi isn’t considering a transfer.
The player feels that he has ‘rediscovered’ himself under new manager Cristian Chivu and is expected to make his first appearance of the season against Udinese on Sunday.
The newspaper note that Inter will only consider the 25-year-old’s permanent exit if suitors pay between €45m and €50m.
TuttoSport, relayed by FCInter1908, report that the Italy man could be in line for a new deal at Inter, as Chivu has major plans for him during the 2024/25 campaign.
That is in line with what Sport Witness have been informed as even though Newcastle United have made an offer, the Nerazzurri are not keen on a sale and a move away from the San Siro has been described as ‘very difficult’.
Time is running out for Eddie Howe’s side and this will make any transfer complex.
