Newcastle United predicted XI vs Leeds United as Sandro Tonali decision & three changes made

Tonali and Joelinton were forced off during Monday’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool and while Joelinton is ruled out this evening’s game, Tonali isn’t, yet.

Eddie Howe confirmed at his pre-match press conference that Tonali was battling to be fit for the visit to Elland Road, though it will depend on whether the Italian can manage the pain of his shoulder injury.

There is no dislocation, which is good news, but whether he is fit enough to take to the pitch for the last game before the international break remains to be seen.

Should Tonali be unavailable, then Howe is considering unleashing his tried and tested 5-2-3 system.

Then there is, of course, the area of the team everyone is talking about... striker. With Alexander Isak still on strike, Anthony Gordon suspended and imminent new signing Nick Woltemade ineligible to feature, who starts up top at Elland Road has got everyone guessing.

Here’s how we’re predicting Newcastle United to line-up against Leeds:

Pope saved a penalty on his last visit to Elland Road, denying Patrick Bamford.
