Chelsea secure massive loan fee as Bayern transfer agreed

Chelsea have reportedly agreed to loan Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich for a massive fee with an option to buy in the summer transfer window.

The striker has not featured in either of the Blues’ opening two matches after telling the club he wanted to depart Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle United also held an interest in signing Jackson, but he will be leaving the Premier League altogether and instead play his football in Germany this season.

The Athletic report that the forward will join Bayern on a season-long loan, but could sign for the Bundesliga champions on a permanent basis next summer.

Chelsea will receive a £13 million loan fee up front, plus an additional £56.2 million should Bayern trigger the option to buy. A sell-on clause has also been included in the deal.

The west London outfit will receive £69 million in total for the Senegal international, for whom they had hoped to fetch £80 million.

Jackson has already agreed personal terms with the Bavarian outfit, and has been granted permission by Chelsea to travel ahead of undergoing medical tests.
