Bayern Munich have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on loan for the 2025-26 season.
The Blues striker was frozen out of Enzo Maresca’s squad, as he dropped down the pecking order following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
The Senegal striker was looking to move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and finally an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United were also linked with a move for the 24-year-old striker, but they never came up with a firm offer, like Bayern did.
Ideally, Chelsea wanted to sell him permanently this summer, but Bayern could only bring him on loan. After several rounds of intense discussion, the German champions have reached an agreement to get him to the Allianz Arena on an initial loan move.
Christian Falk exclusively told CFBayern that Bayern will pay Chelsea €15m (£13m) to sign Jackson on loan, and the Bundesliga champions have the option to make his stay permanent for €65m (£56.2m) at the end of the season.
The striker has already agreed personal terms with Bayern.
Bayern will pay his entire salary for the season. They could think about buying him permanently next summer if Harry Kane wants to return to the Premier League in 2026.
Kane has a release clause in his contract that will allow him to leave in the summer of 2026, but any potential suitor will have to trigger that between January 2026.
If Bayern decide to sign Jackson permanently, Chelsea would receive a total package worth €80m (£69.2m) for the player they paid €37m (£32m) for in 2023.
Falk further adds that Jackson will now travel to Munich to undergo his medical before signing his contract and performing media duties as a Bayern player.
Jackson will be a smart signing for Bayern
The Senegal star has a contract at Chelsea until 2033.
He has registered 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 matches for the Blues in all competitions, and won the Conference League and the Club World Cup with the Blues.
Bayern signed Luis Diaz from Liverpool this summer, but Vincent Kompany felt they still need attacking reinforcement, especially after the departure of Kingsley Coman.
Having missed out on so many targets, such as Xavi Simons, Christopher Nkunku, and Nico Williams this summer, Bayern fans can rejoice that they have finally landed another striker who will add depth and quality to the squad.
Bayern could still be looking for another winger on loan before Monday’s transfer deadline, but Tyrique George is extremely unlikely to join them.
