“90% sure” | ExWHUEmployee | Soucek & Aguerd transfer update

**West Ham believe its more likely at this stage that Tomas Soucek will remain at the club this transfer window, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.**

As has been widely reported, Everton and former boss David Moyes have made a move this summer to sign the Czech international, with a follow up bid expected having seen the first one rejected.

Our insider Ex has now revealed that although Everton may bid for the midfielder again, an agent close to the player feels relatively confident that he will remain at West Ham.

“An agent close to Tomas Soucek has said he is 90 percent sure he will be a West Ham player after the deadline closure,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “It would take a substantial offer from Everton to get the deal done.”

Ex has also provided an update on Emerson, who is in talks with Marseille, with Nayef Aguerd also linked with a move to France. It appears defender targets are emerging should we allow the Moroccan to depart.

“Emerson is in discussions with Marseille,” stated Ex. “We revealed last week that the club would not let him move for a free and it seems like the French giants have offered us some money. It won’t be near what we paid for him but we should get some money in.

“The club will get a small fee for Emerson if he does move but will also save 95k a week on wages.

“The same club are supposedly looking at Nayef Aguerd too. The club have yet to confirm any bid as yet from Marseille or Sunderland and if even if they did would have to make a decision as to whether it is worth accepting and whether a replacement could be lined up in time.

“The club have looked at other defenders and one we exclusively revealed at the start of the window and we still have interest in us Charlie Cresswell, ironically he plays in France for Toulouse.

“Should Aguerd leave, and at the moment it seems the club would rather he stayed, we could move for a third Southampton player. This is player is Taylor Harwood-Bellis. He is on a list of potential centre back replacements.”
