Abdellah Boulma reports that Jakub Kiwior’s medical at FC Porto is scheduled for today, with the defender set to sign a five-year contract with his new club.
David Ornstein confirmed on Friday night that with Arsenal agreeing a deal to sign Piero Hincapie, Kiwior will be allowed to leave for Porto in a move worth a guaranteed €25m (£21.6m) potentially rising to €27m (£23.4m).
Ornstein had previously confirmed that an agreement was in place, but that it was subject to Arsenal securing a replacement.

Arsenal perhaps could have secured a bigger fee for Kiwior this summer if he’d stayed in the Premier League. The Gunners reportedly discussion his situation with Crystal Palace during negotiations for Eberechi Eze, so there were options locally.
But The Athletic report that the centre-back has insisted all summer that he’d prefer to return to mainland Europe. With the player taking a Premier League switch off the table, it was always going to be harder to bring in big money for his transfer.
Gunners fans won’t feel too much animosity towards Kiwior over that stance. Whether the final fee is €25m or €27m, Arsenal are still making a profit on their €20m acquisition of the defender, and he’s given the club some big performances along the way.

Arsenal are reinvesting the funds immediately on Hincapie, but the Bayer Leverkusen defender won’t be available in time to face Liverpool on Sunday. With Kiwior also absent, Mikel Arteta will be relying on Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, and Cristhian Mosquera for that game.
