David Moyes appears fairly satisfied with his squad, but he isn’t one to shy away from calling out his players at Everton.
The Scotsman has brought the fighting factor back to the club after Sean Dyche’s toxic atmosphere.
It seems like the Toffees squad respects the 62-year-old, as Moyes knows the club inside and out.
This season will be very telling as to whether the players he has will fight for him and help the Blues progress.
So far, things are looking good, but Everton fans think the manager doesn’t like someone in the squad, but the Scotsman has shut that down.

David Moyes shuts down murmurs that he doesn’t want Beto at Everton
During pre-season, Moyes called out Beto’s performances, as the Everton boss felt he could give a lot more.
Despite the striker coming off the back of a successful second half of last campaign, Moyes wants the standards to be kept.
This has led to speculation that Beto would be sold by the Toffees this summer, but journalist Joe Thomas has revealed a chat after Moyes’ Wolves press conference that banishes these claims.

“I have been challenging him a little bit to sort of push him,” Moyes said
“People think I don’t want him, it’s not [that], it’s really to try and prod him a wee bit to see if I can get goals. Let me tell you, he is an unbelievable lad.”

It’s become clear that Beto isn’t for sale, and although Thierno Barry’s addition might have ruffled a few feathers, it’s looking like Moyes wants competition from his strikers.
The Guinea-Bissau international proved his worth to the Toffees last season, but from striker to striker, Duncan Ferguson isn’t convinced.
Duncan Ferguson doesn’t think Beto will ‘cut it’ at Everton
After eight goals in the league last campaign, it certainly shows that the 27-year-old can still offer something since his £26 million move from Udinese.
The forward has already shown glimpses this season, and it looks as though he’s willing to fight for his place and recreate his brilliance from 24/25.
But even though the goal-scoring is still there, Duncan Ferguson thinks Beto won’t ‘cut it’ at Everton.
As a man who knows all about the club and achieved success as the frontman, Ferguson’s brutal verdict will really show what the six-foot-four star is really all about, as he will want to prove him wrong.
Beto wants to emulate Romelu Lukaku at Everton, and with Moyes on his side, he’s got the platform to kick on.
