Micah Parsons’ days with the Dallas Cowboys are over.
Parsons met with the Green Bay media on Friday, one day after the Packers and Cowboys made a shocking trade that landed Parsons with yet another iconic NFL franchise.
“Listen, you’re going to see pure dominance, effort, determination to get to the quarterback, to get wins, whatever it takes to win,” Parsons said in a video posted on Packers.com.
“All I know is go, because all I know is attack,” Parsons added.
“I just wanna attack, attack, attack. One of us will break and I don’t think it’s going to be me.”
Parsons, a Harrisburg High graduate who was a first-team All-American at Penn State, is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history after signing a four-year $188 million contract extension that includes $136 million in total guarantees.
Parsons, who wore No. 11 at Penn State and with the Cowboys, will wear No. 1 with the Packers.
“Elite competitiveness. Lion mentality,” Parsons said of what he brings to a team.
“Just for what (the Packers) did to get me here, my goal is to, you know, reward them with that championship.”
“I just know from having to game plan against (Parsons), that is something that keeps you up at night when you’re going against a player of his caliber,” Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said when asked about Parsons’ impact on a game.
Parsons, a four-time Pro Bowler who was picked in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Cowboys, is aware Green Bay visits Dallas in Week 4, a Sunday night game on Sept. 28.
Before that anticipated reunion, the Packers play Detroit and Washington at home to start the season and visit Cleveland on Sept. 21.
“When it come to Week 4, we’ll be ready,” Parsons said of the Green Bay-Dallas contest.
